About Us

As Nature Intended

In nature, we never see areas dominated by a single species. Instead, we find diverse ecosystems where different organisms coexist and thrive. The same principle should apply to farming. A farm shouldn't rely on producing a single crop or species but should aim to mimic the balance and diversity found in nature.

At Allard Family Farm, we started humbly with the sale of meat birds. However, even from the beginning, we incorporated other livestock into our practices. To keep the environment healthy, we strive to replicate nature’s processes. Our cattle and sheep graze the grass, followed by our poultry. Once the grass is trimmed short enough for chickens to forage, they feast on clover leaves and scratch through manure patties, playing their role in fertilizing the pastures and keeping pest insects under control. After all the animals have finished grazing scratching and rooting around, the soil is given time to rest and recover.

As stewards of the land, we are committed to its care and continuous improvement, ensuring it remains prosperous for generations to come. We firmly believe that working with nature, rather than against it, is essential for success in modern agriculture and ensuring our children have a clean and healthy place to thrive!
